“Excuse me!” Clara would have waved if her arms weren’t occupied with a seemingly injured Pokemon. The route was empty, as far as she could tell, apart from the person she had called out to, and that was just the way she wanted it. “Hey! I need some help!”
Hah.
If there was one thing Clara noticed about suckers it was that they couldn’t resist the call of help. After all, that was one of the things that made them suckers. An anxious, about-to-burst-into-tears look was stuck on her face, made all the more believable thanks to the ever-present, tiny, insignificant fear that she would be found out. “I’m–I’m lost!” She blurted out before she had even moved towards the guy. “And this–this thing attacked my precious little…!”
Pantirin snorted, and apart from retorting with a quick pinch, Clara ignored it and continued. “And I don’t know what it was, and I don’t know where I am and—and…!” And I am really rusty at this. Clara really hoped that this guy was gullible. Hell, she wouldn’t be believing her owns lies if she didn’t have to, but unfortunately that was the biggest trick to a successful lie.
Ever so keen to make a good performance, Pantirin decided to cough dramatically. Clara wanted to scold her Pokemon right then and there; her “precious little” was supposed to pretend to be beaten and paralysed, and Clara was pretty sure that paralysed Pokemon didn’t snort or cough dramatically. “Ssh shh,” she cooed at her Pokemon, looking down at it. With her eyes hidden from the stranger by her fringe, Clara shot Pantirin a quick glare. “You’ll be fine. You’ll be—”
The warning was ignored. Pantirin coughed again and tried to croak out some words. It took all of Clara’s effort not to shake some sense into her Pokemon. The paralysis detail was going to have to be dropped at this rate. “Ssh! Don’t overdo it. You don’t want to make it worse.” With any luck, that would sink in better.
Clara stood still for a few seconds, waiting for any more dramatics, and when Pantirin did nothing other than lie weakly in her arms, Clara finally cut as close to the chase as she could at this point. She had finally approached the stranger properly, close enough that she didn’t have to shout over at him anymore. “Um, d-do you know—the Pokemon Centre, where is it?”
(ooc: sorry this took forever. idk if this is what you expected and i hope you don't mind but i skipped ahead to clara's kecleon having already swiped the notebook. she'll probably pull it out or at least mention it next post. but i can always backtrack if you'd prefer it).

OOC|| No worries dude, its cool. That's fine by me, anyway, it'll just get things moving along as well. Thanks! \uvu/
Pearl felt fairly alone this time around, walking by himself without the company of his friends. While lately it had been a normal occurrence for him, being that Dia was off traveling in other regions and Little Miss working at her family's company, he still was starting to miss it. He was, however, surprised by the sudden call for help along the road. He glanced around for the owner of the call, finding a women just a little ways away from him. Huh. He hadn't even noticed. Probably because he had been brisk walking through this route. He was eager to get to the next town that he guessed he hadn't noticed her. Oops.
He slowed his pace once he realized she was still calling out about whatever was distressing her. He guessed with the current Knights threat on the regions it wasn't surprising that there would be more people in trouble or danger. There was always the occasional person that could be faking it, but something told him that the women now wasn't lying. At least, that's what he thought. Maybe Dia's blissful personality was rubbing off on him. 'It better not...' He thought to himself with his eyes half-closed. It was a little embarrassing listening to their banter, he would admit.
Pearl could admit something seemed... weird about this girl. Then again, Platinum was weird when he first met her. Maybe it was a girl thing? Eh. She definitely seemed frantic, being that it was only one Pokemon in her arms. Then again, it could be that she only owned one Pokemon. He could've sworn he heard the Pokemon cough occasionally, maybe even try to croak out a word. It was faint, and being that he wasn't terribly far away now he could still catch some of their conversation.
"Um..." He said it faintly, but before he realized it the girl had walked up to him and asked him a question.
"Well, there's a Pokemon Center if you keep following this road in the next town. It's probably faster since the way back will take you a day. Is that your only Pokemon?" Pearl raised a brow towards her Pokemon. It looked... alright, though he couldn't really tell since it was limp in her arms. Either way, it wasn't like this woman was bad or anything...
